How the ride works
We meet at the launch beach at the time the tide allows. Before anyone starts the engine, the operator explains the controls, the safety lanyard, the area you may ride in and the signals used on the water.
First-time riders begin slowly with a guide close by. Once you are steady, you can open up in the deeper water outside the swimming areas. Two riders can share one machine and swap during the session.
We stay clear of seaweed farms, fishing boats and swimming zones. If the sea is rough or the wind picks up, the session is moved rather than pushed through.

- Do I need a licence to ride a jet ski in Zanzibar?
- No licence is required for a supervised rental. You get a full safety briefing, and a guide rides with or alongside first-timers until they are comfortable.
- Can two people share one jet ski?
- Yes, most machines take two riders. Tell us how many people are riding and we will arrange the right number of skis.
- Where do the rides take place?
- Along the east and south-east coast, in open water away from swimmers, seaweed farms and fishing grounds. The exact launch point depends on the tide.
- What does it cost?
