What is Kizimkazi known for?
Two things: the sea and the history. Boats leave early from the harbour into Menai Bay, and the village holds a mosque whose Kufic inscription is among the oldest evidence of Islam in East Africa.
It is a working place rather than a resort strip. A handful of small hotels sit along the coast, and the pace is set by the fishing day.

How should dolphin trips be handled?
Dolphin watching here has a difficult reputation because boats sometimes crowd and chase the animals. We arrange trips that keep distance, avoid pursuit and never promise that you will swim with dolphins. Some mornings you see a great deal; some mornings you see very little. That is what wild means.
